eloquent hackers

Here’s an interesting read if you’re a mega nerd like myself. Hacking and Refactoring is a posting by Eric Raymond who also goes on to make me feel a little better about my computer struggles in The Delusion of Expertise. This second post details his time with Terry Pratchett during which they both served as “guests of honor at a hybrid SF convention and Linux conference called Penguicon held in Warren, Michigan.” Now that is what I call a gathering.

...Wait a minute, WHA? WHERE? ”...at the magic octagon in the Escondido autopark!” Television advertising sends hideous, damaging subliminal information. Charlie Rose gave Ang Lee a good working over about The Hulk and I think I’m interested in seeing it now. PBS is anti-matter television. BLAOW.

But before I go; back to the original topic: Eric Raymond. Don’t forget to learn how to ask questions the smart way.
