Where are you Yoshiuki Aida? Jazz met the vibe tonight at the Kyoto Jazz Massive show and my knees are definitely feeling it. It felt so good to dance to the sets by the two brothers and the jumpin’ warm up by Damon Bell. It was a fresh inspiration and a reminder of what got me started buying music, spinning and dancing in the first place. The Onyx room is a great place to be if it’s not too crowded and you have a half-price admission coupon. An unbelievably fun time for 5 dollars. Props to Chako for getting excited about this one and making it happen in her funky blue dancin’ boots. Shout out to Dave for being my intermittent wingman on the dancefloor. Of course, Ryan and Nora have no shame when it comes to last-call, booty shakin’ beats.
