chlorophyl? More like bore-aphyl
On the nutrient tip, I’ve slammed a long-overdue repotting of my plants into the schedule today (well, yesterday). I’m still nearly wide awake thanks to a special “white heat mocha” from the local coffee shop. I definitely do not need to induce a cup of joe into my daily routine. I’m flaky enough as it is. With that extra zippy zest of caffeine coursing through my veins I become the Lex Luthor to my brother Greg’s huggy-bear, touchy-feely-friendly inebrio-Superman. Devious, spaz-mode, jabber-jaw, ala Gene Hackman Luthor, that is. Regardless, the closest I’ve come to kryptonite is the happy, (I hope) green, little friends that I’ve put up in new and refurbished digs. (Hee.) Fresh, loamy lodgings were well overdue. Best get off to bed before I decide to hatch a plot to hijack and launch any ICBMS.
Oh yes… After watching the WETA section of the Fellowship of the Ring super DVD set, I really want to make some armor. Wonder if I can find some scrap sheets of steel and a forge somewhere around here. It might prove difficult because I think the art market in San Diego is driven by beach scene painters (watercolor, pastels etc.) and those tweakers that cast ceramic dolphins and paste them onto bits of driftwood (with a gilded seagull or three here and there). Ah well. I think it’s high time I unplug myself from this wretched machine and do some real HANDiWork. HandEyeWork. Etcetera.
(oh yeah… Greg: Warm up the forge. I need a 2 handed footmans warhammer with a long, slim head that is light enough for single handed use facilitated by a bit of a sling/lanyard at the bottom as well. Also, a one and a half handed sword in a typical ranger sort of arrangement. I’ll work out the bow and quiver details myself. General schematics to follow. What? Do you honestly think I would leave myself with the responsibility of the incredible craftsmanship required of armaments forged from damascus steel? Honestly.)
